Registered Nurse - Family Health Location: Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, Nevada. Education and Experience Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or alien authorized to work in the U.S. Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in any of the 50 states, D.C., Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university (ACEN or CCNE). Two years of outpatient clinical nursing experience after graduation. General Knowledge Knowledge of professional care theories, principles, practices, and procedures to perform moderate‑difficulty nursing assignments and assessment of adult and geriatric patients. Knowledge of a wide range of medical disorders, diagnostic studies, and treatments. Knowledge of preventive health schedules, disease management, and population health principles. Preferred working knowledge of the military health care system, including TRICARE benefits, fee‑for‑services, and managed‑care/HMO organizations.
