The Branch Manager oversees daily store operations to achieve sales and margin goals, promotes sales, delivers customer service, maintains inventory, and aligns staff with safety standards. Responsibilities Oversee daily store operations to achieve sales and margin goals. Promote sales, deliver excellent customer service, nurture inventory levels, and balance expenses. Ensure facility and staff alignment to safety and regulatory standards. Provide professional customer service for all internal and external customers. Support the outside sales team in nurturing client relationships and welcoming new business opportunities. Facilitate accurate and timely daily processing of financial transactions, including cash reports, charge tickets, coding, costing, pricing, daily cash summaries, and bank deposits. Maintain accuracy of back-order, open-order, and Purchase Order (PO) expedite reports. Cultivate and refine cylinder and hard goods inventory levels for the branch. Lead training for inside sales associates on product knowledge, company policies, processes, procedures, and safety. Conduct periodic performance reviews for branch associates. Act as a bridge between employees and management, providing performance mentorship and guidance in collaboration with Human Resources and senior management. Qualifications Required Previous management experience in a customer‑facing environment. Background in supporting and leading teams within a retail or industrial distribution environment. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and occasionally up to 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment. Proficient computer skills and an interest in learning new digital tools. Ability to navigate multiple priorities concurrently; self‑motivated with a focus on contributing to the overall team’s success. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively act as a bridge between staff and management. Preferred Track record of meaningful contributions in the welding, gas, or safety industry. 3+ years of experience in a role focused on nurturing team growth and operational efficiency. 5+ years of experience in sales with a track record of meaningful contributions. Experience with inventory cultivation and vendor relationship support.
