We are seeking experienced Travel Behavioral Health RNs to support adult psychiatric units at our partner facilities. Provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric nursing care to adult patients experiencing acute mental health crises, substance abuse issues, or psychiatric disorders Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, monitor mental status, and manage medication administration and efficacy Utilize therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu for patients and staff Respond effectively to psychiatric emergencies and crisis situations using approved behavioral intervention protocols Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and the interdisciplinary team to implement individualized care and discharge plans Position Requirements Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of recent acute care Psychiatric / Behavioral Health RN experience. Prior travel nursing experience is highly preferred Education: ADN or BSN from an accredited school of nursing Licensure: Active, unencumbered RN License in the state of assignment (or valid Compact/NLC license) Certifications: Active AHA BLS certification Crisis Prevention / De-escalation training preferred (e.g., CPI, PMAB, or SAFE) Flexibility: Absolute willingness to work a rotating schedule including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed by the facility About Healthforce Healthforce is a nationwide travel healthcare staffing agency connecting travel nurses and allied health professionals with high-quality contract assignments across the United States.
