We're looking for a motivated sales professional who is passionate about helping businesses grow through strategic marketing partnerships and who thrives in a competitive, relationship-driven environment. As a Marketing Consultant, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to local and regional businesses, developing customized marketing solutions that leverage the power and reach of the ESPN NewYork brand. You'll build long-term partnerships by understanding partner goals and creating impactful campaigns across audio, digital, social, video, and experiential platforms. Success in this role requires a proactive approach to business development, a consultative marketing minded approach to sales, and the ability to uncover opportunities that help partners achieve measurable results. What You’ll Do as a Marketing Consultant Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities throughout the NewYork market including for NewYorkKnicks and Rangers play by play assets. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing partners, identifying opportunities for continued growth and partnership. Develop & maintain thorough knowledge of the complete portfolio of ESPN NewYork’s assets. Create customized, multi-platform marketing solutions utilizing ESPN NewYork's audio, digital, social, video, and event assets. Develop and deliver compelling presentations & campaigns that align marketing strategies with partner objectives. Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity, and local market dynamics. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful execution and delivery of partner campaigns. Consistently achieve and exceed revenue goals through strategic account management and new business development. Integrate AI tools into daily workflows to improve new business outreach, partner research, campaign development, communication, and sales effectiveness while maintaining a high level of personalization and partner interaction. Preferred knowledge, skills and qualifications Minimum of 5+ Years’ Sales Experience. Preferably in NewYork local market or sports media sales. Experience selling play by play sports preferred. Existing relationships with advertisers who target sports content preferred. Strong network and relationships within the NewYork Community. Goal oriented and creative self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit. Passion to be a part of a team and the ability to work independently. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment - a multi-tasker. Willingness to accept and provide feedback. Familiarity in CRM tool such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office; Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Required to hold a valid driver’s license and meet partners at their locations/place of business. Hours/Salary/Benefits Pay Transparency : The anticipated compensation for NewYork-based individuals is $150,000 - $220,000 (base). This role is eligible for incentive compensation and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills and performance expectations. This role is eligible for full benefits including health, dental, vision, Life Insurance, STD, LTD, 401(k) Plan, Dependent Care, paid parental leave, and more with opportunities for salary growth increase with skills and responsibilities and meeting targeted goals. The position will require working some evenings and weekends for events and games.
