The Radiology Department at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is seeking a Director of Gynecologic Oncology Imaging for a full-time radiologist faculty position for our Longwood Medical Area location.

As a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, BIDMC and the Department of Radiology, provide a clinically advanced and supportive academic environment for residents, fellows, and faculty. We're also proud and excited to be an integral part of the landmark collaboration among Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) to establish New England's only freestanding adult inpatient cancer hospital. The collaboration will provide unparalleled opportunities for radiology and other physician specialties to be part of DFCI's internationally recognized cancer team.

The Director of Gynecologic Oncology Imaging will work jointly with the newly formed Division of Cancer Radiology, as well as the Abdominal Section in the Department of Radiology. The individual will work primarily with the DFCI Gynecologic Oncology Program and referring providers to build, lead and grow a successful gynecologic oncology imaging program with the BIDMC and DFCI Radiology Departments, under the leadership of the Chair of the Department of Imaging at DFCI. The individual will be expected to support clinical service excellence, develop research in gynecologic oncology imaging, participate in multidisciplinary collaborations, support education and training in gynecologic imaging, and be involved in recruitment of additional faculty with gynecologic imaging interests.

The BIDMC Abdominal Imaging and Interventions section currently has 15 dedicated faculty members, an ACGME-accredited fellowship with 6 ACGME abdominal fellows and 3 dedicated body MRI fellows per year, and 4 advanced practitioners. We are expanding our cancer imaging fellowship from current 3 fellows to 10 fellows in 2027. Hospital-based facilities span two main campuses that are within a 5 minute-walk of each other in the Longwood Medical area in the heart of Boston. Translational MRI and clinical CT and MRI research, quality and safety, healthcare outcomes research, AI are current research endeavors of the Section. The section treasures its close collaborative relationships with referring services.

BIDMC and DFCI both have state-of-the-art imaging facilities. BIDMC's hospital-based facilities span over two main campuses and include conventional radiographic units, 12 multidetector-row CT scanners, 8 MRIs, and two procedural CT suites. The DFCI Department of Imaging has multiple imaging facilities that include five CTs, four MRIs, and six SPECT and PET-CTs in addition to several ultrasound and radiography units across two campuses.

The candidate should be eligible for appointment to the faculty of Harvard Medical School at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level commensurate with experience.

• MD from an accredited medical school
• Board-certified or eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
• A valid MA medical license or the ability to obtain one
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Excellent clinical and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Pay Range: $477,500 - $517,500
