Management Trainee

Location 115 Team Hendrick Way, Cary, North Carolina 27511 Overview An MIT Trainee may start in any department at any one of our facilities. These departments include sales, service, parts, finance, accounting, or the body shop. Trainees are rotated to different departments based on the current need as well as the preferences and strengths of the individual. Throughout this process, both the MIT Trainee and the management team create the job path that best suits the individual. The ultimate goal is to help give each individual the valuable experience and skills they need to eventually transition into a department manager. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities Job duties and responsibilities vary based on departmental assignment. You will be mentored by successful organization managers. Progress through the program is based upon performance. Maintains CSI at or above Company standards. Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area. Participates in required training. Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system. Follows Safeguards rules and regulations. Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values. Complies with Company policies and procedures. Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: GED, High School Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree required. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or Doctorate desired. Field of Study/Work Experience: Accounting, Automotive, Business, Human Resources, Information Technology. Desired Work Experience: up to 3 years, 3‑5 years, or 5+ years. Strong analytical skills desired. Valid Driver’s License required. Automobile Salesperson License desired. Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel), accounting software, and inventory software. Communication skills: Ability to understand and follow instructions; communicate effectively with customers and company personnel. Attendance expectations: scheduled shifts may include evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands: regular talking, hearing, standing, walking, sitting; perform duties indoors and outdoors. Strong verbal and written communication, math, and reasoning ability required.
