Claims Investigative Specialist

Job Overview Investigative Specialist – responsible for investigating auto claims, verifying coverage, determining liability, and negotiating settlements within authority limits. Supports the West Coast claims team in the Pacific Time Zone. Key Responsibilities Handles investigation regarding all aspects of auto claims (coverage, damages, subrogation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority. Applies intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department. Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle. Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills. Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding of other potential property damage. For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcome. Skills Comfort working through claim details and determining next steps Ability to analyze information and exercise sound judgment Strong communication with customers and internal partners Organization and follow-through when managing multiple claims Interest in learning and applying insurance policies Willingness to obtain and maintain adjuster licenses, as needed Qualifications Location: Must be able to work Pacific Time Zone hours. Candidates outside may be considered if they can work PT hours. Must possess authorization to work in the United States. Active insurance license required; any existing appointments must be terminated and no outside appointments held during employment. Resident producer license holders must surrender license upon request. Compensation Base compensation offered for this role includes the following ranges, based on experience and qualifications: Adjuster Analyst III: $50,000.00 - $65,300.00 Adjuster Cons I: $50,000.00 - $74,120.00 Adjuster Cons II: $56,000.00 - $82,500.00 Adjuster Sr Cons I: $68,500.00 - $104,100.00 In addition to base compensation, total compensation may include incentive pay (e.g., commission, bonus, etc.) if applicable. Benefits Eligibility to work from home includes monthly connectivity reimbursement to offset internet costs.
