Job Title: Microbiology Technician
Location: Frederick, MD 21704 (Onsite)
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Pay Range: $20–$22/hour on W2
Shift: Day: Sun–Wed, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM | Swing: 3:00 PM–2:00 AM

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated  QC Microbiology Technician to support microbiological testing and environmental monitoring in a GMP-regulated cell therapy manufacturing facility. The role will perform environmental and utility monitoring, microbiological testing, media handling, and laboratory support activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform environmental, utility, air, water, and surface monitoring.
• Support microbiological testing, growth promotion, validation, and qualification activities.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized laboratory areas.
• Handle and store microbiological media and laboratory supplies.
• Manage biohazardous waste in accordance with EHS requirements.
• Accurately document laboratory activities in compliance with GMP/SOP requirements.
• Collaborate with QC, Manufacturing, QA, and other site teams.

Qualifications:

• AA + 1 year of microbiology/environmental monitoring experience, OR
• High School Diploma + 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with aseptic techniques and cleanroom operations preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP and QC processes.
• Ability to gown for aseptic areas and lift approximately 25 lbs.
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Flexibility to work overtime and changing schedules as needed.
