Job Overview

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Machinist / Machine Operator, where you will play a vital role in producing high-precision metal components using advanced CNC equipment. As a key contributor, you will operate, set up, and program CNC machines such as lathes and mills, ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machining equipment including lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce precision parts according to technical specifications.
• Set up machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and calibrating equipment for optimal performance.
• Program CNC machines utilizing G-code and M-code languages, including CAM programming for complex parts.
• Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements and tolerances.
• Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measurement instruments to verify part quality.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a CNC machinist or machine operator.
• Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathes and milling machines.
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and mechanical blueprint interpretation.
• Skilled in using machining tools including manual tools, power tools, grinders, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to perform machine setup accurately and conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to promote efficient production workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to program CNC machines utilizing G-code and M-code languages, including CAM programming for complex parts.
• Ability to create drawings and models in CAD software.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay is $30–$40 per hour, based on experience and skills. We also offer:

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This is an on-site role in a machine shop. You will stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work around operating machinery, coolants, and shop noise. Safety glasses and other protective equipment are required.
