Dining Services Supervisor

Silver Bay Carefree Living is looking for a full-time Dining Services Supervisor/Kitchen Manager/CFPM to join our growing and established Assisted Living community in Silver Bay, MN . SCHEDULE Full-time, every other weekend RESPONSIBILITIES Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Dining Services Supervisor is responsible for: Purchasing groceries and supplies Ensuring the preparation of nutritious meals and snacks Supervising the cooks and dietary aides in order to provide nutritional meals and snacks in a pleasant environment Meeting the dining needs and desires of the residents Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Serve Safe Manager Certificate required. CFPM Certificate required Must have a passion for working with seniors and providing excellent care and customer service. Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, and problem-solving skills. A minimum of two years' previous experience as a cook in an institutional setting; nursing home or assisted living facility preferred, with some supervisory experience is preferred, but not required. Understand and exhibit infection control procedures, including proper hand-washing techniques. Know and adhere to OSHA safety regulations and ensure all persons in kitchen/dining room follow correct procedures. Knowledge of food service operations and of safety precautions in serving food to others in a clean, healthy environment Selected candidate must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position and will be subject to a DHS and criminal background study.
