Accountant & System Analyst

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accountant & System Analyst in Secaucus, NJ. Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant & System Analyst to support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting across multiple entities. This role combines traditional accounting responsibilities with financial systems administration, serving as a key resource for Sage Intacct and Emburse Chrome River. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting fundamentals, advanced systems expertise, and a passion for process improvement and automation. Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Financial Reporting:

• Prepare monthly financial statements for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Reconcile and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, identifying and resolving variances
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts within Sage Intacct
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate outstanding reconciling items
• Manage intercompany accounting activities, including reconciliations and balance confirmations across multiple entities
• Monitor accounts receivable activity, cash applications, and customer balances
• Issue customer invoices and billing transactions in Sage Intacct
• Coordinate weekly accounts payable payment runs and ensure timely vendor disbursements
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies, transaction issues, and stakeholder inquiries
• Support external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and audit support documentation
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes
• Extensive hands-on experience with Sage Intacct, including: General Ledger; Accounts Payable; Accounts Receivable; Report Writing & Custom Reporting; System Configuration; User Security & Permissions; Multi-Entity Consolidations
• Experience preparing account reconciliations, financial statements, and audit schedules
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Experience supporting financial systems administration or ERP optimization initiatives
• Transportation, logistics, or distribution industry experience
• Experience working in a multi-entity environment
• Knowledge of Emburse Chrome River or similar expense management platforms
