Centra Healthcare Allied is seeking a School Services School Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Plainfield, Illinois. Job Summary Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist Discipline: School Services Start Date: 08/01/2026 Duration: 43 weeks Hours per week: 40 Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities The Speech Language Pathologist / SLP is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require treatment for speech, hearing and/or language deficits. The SLP will teach patients how to make sounds, improve their voices, and increase oral or written language skills to communicate more effectively. The SLP also teaches individuals how to strengthen muscles or use compensatory strategies to swallow without choking or inhaling food or liquid. Qualifications Must have graduated from an accredited school. Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP or actively in the process of obtaining licensure. Current CPR certification. Work within an interdisciplinary team to develop a plan of care for each patient. Provide skilled speech therapy services/interventions per physician orders. Assess patient needs, plan, evaluate, and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions. Set realistic and achievable goals for patients to develop or recover reliable communication and swallowing skills so that the patient can fulfill educational, vocational, and social roles.
