Job Description:


We are seeking a qualified OB/GYN physician to join our locum team in Grass Valley, CA. This hospital-based role involves delivering babies, performing C-sections, and providing ED call coverage related to OB/GYN issues within a dedicated Birthing Center that includes its own OR for C-sections. The facility handles an average of 25-40 deliveries per month, with duties including assistance with deliveries, gynecological surgeries, and emergency coverage.


Candidates must have current certification or be actively participating in the examination process in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, or have completed an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency. Demonstrated experience with at least 100 gynecological surgical procedures in the past two years is required.


The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team, including anesthesiologists, surgeons, pediatricians, and respiratory therapists. Support staff and EMR use include Cerner.


Schedule priorities include urgent dates in June, July, and August 2026, with availability for ongoing coverage into 2026. The schedule involves various shifts, including 24-hour on-call responsibilities, holiday call coverage, and estimated callback hours.

Additional Requirements:
