Job Title: Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Medical-Surgical nursing License: South Carolina license or Compact license required prior to start Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Ability to float to other medical-surgical units if needed - Open to weekend requirements, with every other weekend rotation Description: This position is for a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse specializing in Renal care. The shift is three nights per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Patient ratios are expected to be 1:6-7. Travelers may be required to float to other medical-surgical units as necessary. Candidates must possess a valid South Carolina RN license or a Compact license prior to starting. BLS certification is also required. This position is open to first-time travelers. The average daily census for the unit is 36 patients, and the patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support is available from various teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Rapid Response Teams. Candidates must adhere to specific scheduling guidelines including limited time off requests. During hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams as needed. It is crucial to complete all pre-start compliance requirements in a timely manner.
