Radiation Therapist

A radiation therapist is a healthcare professional who helps treat patients with cancer and other diseases by using carefully targeted radiation therapy. Working closely with radiation oncologists and other members of the healthcare team, they operate specialized machines that deliver radiation to tumors while protecting as much healthy tissue as possible. They carefully position patients for each treatment, monitor the equipment, and make sure every session is performed safely and accurately.Radiation therapists also provide support and encouragement to patients throughout their treatment, answering questions and helping them feel as comfortable as possible.
