Description:
This position involves working in a geriatric psychiatric nursing unit.
The unit focuses on stabilizing older adult patients with acute psychiatric diagnoses.
It is a 25-bed locked unit with a maximum patient-to-nurse ratio of 6:1.
Nursing staff will work alongside trained technician staff.
The unit is dedicated to patients aged 50 and older.
The Behavioral Health department employs a panic button system for safety.
A specialized behavioral health security team is also present on the unit.
