Machine Operator I - 2nd Shift

Machine OperatorThe Machine Operator is a team member in the day-to-day operations of the company's manufacturing facilities. Their work must adhere to all quality, safety, and efficiency policies. The Machine Operators report to the Production Manager, however for day-to-day guidance relative to plant operations, Machine Operators report to their Team Leader.Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesEffectively and efficiently operate manufacturing equipmentDiligent reporting of safety, quality, maintenance, or other issues to ensure important improvement ideas are communicatedExecute quality inspection, and set-up checklistsComplete documentation thoroughly and accuratelyReport and document product quality non-conformances immediately.Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks (lubricating, cleaning, etc.)Cross-train in all areas of operationIdentify and report equipment issues (look, listen, feel) to prevent equipment breakdown or failureParticipate in improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and efficiency in area of responsibilityDevelop a Lean Manufacturing mindset, focused on removing waste in operations to deliver quality products at lower costMaintain high standards of housekeeping are sustainedEnsure all tools, materials & equipment are stored in designated areaOther duties as assigned.Skills/KnowledgePrior experience in a manufacturing or similar environment an assetAble to change task or direction while maintaining organizationGood organizational skillsForklift experience an assetAbility to lift 45lbs unassistedHigh attention to detailAnalytical thinker and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to work in a team environment.EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent.ExperienceWill train perspective candidates1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred.FET (Forum Energy Technologies, Inc.) is a global company, serving the crude oil, natural gas, and renewable energy industries.
