AWS/CES is looking for an Electrician for our automotive manufacturing client in Warren, MI
- Location: Warren, MI
- Schedule: 1st shift 6am-2:30pm
- Pay: up to $32.26/hr
- Job Type: Full-Time
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to support manufacturing operations through maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of plant equipment and machinery. This role requires a strong technical background, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and electrical systems with minimal supervision
- Perform electrical wiring, installations, and upgrades based on schematics and documentation
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime
- Diagnose issues using electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and diagnostic tools
- Assist with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic system troubleshooting
- Install and run conduit, wire-ways, panels, and power drops
- Build, label, and wire control panels and electrical boxes
- Update drawings/prints and recommend spare parts or system improvements
- Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks to support production needs
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations
Qualifications
- Strong experience with industrial electrical systems and machine troubleshooting
- Knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and high-voltage systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder diagrams
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, and PLC troubleshooting (preferred)
- Proficient with electrical meters and diagnostic instruments (AC/DC circuits)
- Ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency and accountability
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Education & Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
- Ability to pass an electrician aptitude test
