Job Type: Permanent The Claims Director, Property & Casualty The Claims Director, Property & Casualty is a senior level leader responsible for the execution and delivery of the US Claims strategy by developing, managing, and motivating engaged AVPs/Team Mangers. This person combines excellent technical claims handling, people management, and leadership skills. Claims Directors are managers of managers who provide overall leadership across our general liability teams. This person also: Leads, motivates and develops Team AVPs overseeing and delivering on customer service and results; Responsible for delivery of Key Performance Indicators and adherence to Hiscox USA Best Practices; Leads and executes on identified strategic business initiatives to deliver cost effective and innovative claims results, claims litigation strategy and a consistent, high value customer experience; Supports claim employee engagement goals, team performance and development; Drives litigation management behaviors and identifies trends and training opportunities to address same; Oversees and drives Best Practice compliance with the reserving process for the CGL LOB, including overseeing exposure, and ensuring timeliness and adequacy of incurred reserves; Tracks claims trends and reserving, with respect to timeliness and sufficiency; Effectively manages performance of AVPs; Plays an active role in recruitment and onboarding; Leads and/or participates in Claims Projects as needed; Works directly with key stakeholders, such as UW and Claim Operations, to deliver on business needs, goals and important operational objectives.
