Shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

• Circulate in the operating room during procedures
• Provide care during labor and delivery
• Perform standard vaginal exams (SVE) and place IUPC and FSE
• Serve as a stork nurse and transition newborns at delivery
• Assist with inductions, C-sections, vaginal deliveries, and procedures like D&C, cerclage, and tubal ligations
• Manage triage, NST, OB injections, OP infusions, and IUFD care

Requirements of the Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

• Active RN license in Alaska
• OR circulator experience
• Labor and Delivery experience
• AWHONN intermediate Fetal Monitoring or NCC-EFM certification, NRP, ACLS, BLS
