Receive 17 Weekday Nights 26 Weekend Nights and 15 Weekend Day shift differentials. Compensation for this role is based on a number of factors including but not limited to experience education and other business and organizational considerations.

Position Summary:

Responsible for triaging all problems related to the computer terminations patch panels modems hubs routers network switches and associated equipment in University Hospital (UH). Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.

Detailed responsibilities:

• Assist in IT equipment repair as needed
• Assist and coordinate with IT staff to provide support and planning for moving IT equipment
• Maintain service and replace IT hardware including the preparation and coordination of surplus equipment disposal according to established procedures
• Stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of technology
• Perform a variety of shipping and receiving tasks to include pre-inventory functions assist with regular cycle process inventory
• Receive and fill supply orders stock and transport materials and supplies ensure compliance with TJC and other regulatory agency requirements
• Respond to HELP DESK tickets maintain customer satisfaction and response times
• Participate in the Hospitals hardware and software standardization efforts as appropriate and assigned
• Provide assistance to IT Analysts in finding suitable resolutions to hardware and software problems
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education:

• Essential: High School or GED Equivalent
• Nonessential: Bachelor's Degree

Education specialization:

• Nonessential: Related Discipline

Experience:

• Essential: 2 years directly related experience
• Nonessential: No preferred experience

Credentials:

• Essential: Not Applicable/Not Required

Physical Conditions:

• Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
• Essential: Minor Hazard - physical risks dirt dust fumes noise
• Tuberculosis testing is completed upon hire and additionally as required
