Role Description The Eberhard Manufacturing team is seeking a Tool Room Machinist for our facility in Strongsville, OH. This is a 1st shift, full-time position. The Tool Room Machinist will be responsible for job duties in the Tool & Die department. Core Responsibilities Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings. Produce details, components, drawings or concepts. Set up, adjust and operate all basic Tool room machines, tools and many specialized or advanced variations tools. Understand, Monitor and control cutting feed rate and speeds. Follow safety rules and regulations. Multi-tasking ability to work on multiple jobs at one time. Build, maintain, gages and fixtures (welding, part checking, machining). Knowledge of different types of steels. Proper cutting feeds and speeds for each. Knowledge of tool steel heat treating. Knowledge of Tool room measuring equipment (mics, calipers, depth mics, height gage, etc.). Safety prioritization. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Maintain department’s perishable tooling. Any other tasks assigned by the Tool Room Coordinator. Education, Experience, Skills, and Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Ability to work with little or no supervision. Ability to identify process reduction ideas on each job as assigned. Able to perform part / gage layout to determine repairs needed. Crane operation and function. CNC programming / operation. Ability to generate detail prints from concepts or reverse engineering existing components. Journeyman’s card or equivalent a plus. Wire EDM programing and operation experience a plus (with the opportunity to learn).
