Material Handler

Material HandlerIdentifies and locates various production materials and supplies. Using a variety of methods (including forklift, carts and manually) moves and supplies materials to the production lines. Position may require driving on public roads requiring employee to meet state licensing requirements.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesBelow are examples of the type of duties you could be responsible for:Read and follow work orders and labelsMoving and manipulation of various materials and suppliesTape measure accuracyCommunication skills – two way radioRead and sign for materialsBasic math skills for inventory reportingWork independentlyQualificationsMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Basic reading, writing, & verbal skills.Knowledge, Training, Skills and/or ExperienceExperience and education are a plus; however, it's not required. Wabash provides training for all assembler positions. The employee needs full range of motion in arms and hands, all Material Handlers must be able to successfully communicate with fellow employees as well. Some employees also work in small spaces throughout their shift and frequently lift and/or carry objects weighting up to 50 pounds.
