Billing Specialist

Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 annually (DOE) Work Schedule: Hybrid, 2 days in office / 3 days remote A well-established law firm is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Billing Specialist to join its accounting team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal biller or a professional with high-volume electronic billing experience who is interested in transitioning into legal billing, with training provided on legal-specific billing systems and client requirements. Duties and Responsibilities: Audit attorney time entries and expenses line by line to ensure accuracy and compliance with client billing guidelines Prepare, revise, calculate, and generate paper and electronic invoices Edit corporate and litigation invoices according to client-specific billing requirements Upload and submit electronic invoices through client e-billing portals Review pre-bills, calculate flat fees, and ensure task-based billing accuracy Submit and post weekly and monthly attorney time entries Set up and maintain client billing information across multiple databases and billing systems Work closely with the Billing Administrator and billing team to meet important billing deadlines Assist with month-end billing processes and related reporting Job Requirements: Previous legal billing experience strongly preferred Aderant experience highly preferred; experience with electronic billing platforms such as BillBlast or similar systems is a plus Candidates with high-volume medical billing, pharmacy billing, DME billing, or other electronic billing experience are encouraged to apply Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify billing discrepancies Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong written communication skills, including grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office Key Resource Group, LLC considers applicants for all positions without regard to gender, race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, sexual orientation, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, citizenship, veteran status, gender expression and/or identity, or any other class protected by federal, state, or local laws.
