About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Endo/GI Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Evening, M-F Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in GI License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Must-Have: Moderate Sedation experience, prior Cerner charting preferred Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Endoscopy/GI. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in GI nursing. Moderate Sedation experience is required if anesthesia is not available. Prior experience with Cerner charting is preferred. The average number of procedures per day is 3-5 cases, along with emergency cases. Common cases/procedures include EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, MRCP, and biopsies. Call is required on weekends and one evening shift per week. Floor-specific orientation will be provided for 2-3 days. Shifts are varied, and float to PACU/ACU may be required. The charge nurse role is available. Emergency medical response teams and pharmacy services will be available 24/7.
