Pediatric Respiratory TherapistAs a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist at our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to pediatric patients with respiratory disorders. You will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to assess, treat, and monitor pediatric patients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care.Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients with respiratory conditions to determine their specific needs and treatment plans.Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans for pediatric patients, considering their age, condition, and unique requirements.Ventilation Support: Administer and monitor mechanical ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, and other respiratory therapies as needed for pediatric patients.Medication Administration: Administer medications, aerosolized treatments, and inhalation therapies to pediatric patients, ensuring proper dosages and monitoring for adverse reactions.Patient Education: Educate pediatric patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.Monitoring and Evaluation: Continuously monitor pediatric patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document all relevant information in medical records.Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond swiftly to respiratory emergencies involving pediatric patients, providing life-saving interventions and support.Equipment Management: Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment, ensuring it is in proper working order for pediatric patients.Collaboration: Collaborate closely with pediatric physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for pediatric patients.Compliance: Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations, guidelines, and protocols while providing care to pediatric patients.QualificationsBachelor's or Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.Minimum 2 years recent experience within last 5 years in an Acute Care settingRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred.American Heart Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Compassion and patience in working with pediatric patients and their families.Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment.BenefitsCompetitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional growth and advancement.Access to ongoing training and development programs.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Meaningful work that makes a difference in patients' lives.Alto Health Care Staffing is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
