About the Role:

The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards of our food service establishment. This position ensures that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to support a safe and efficient kitchen environment. Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic reading ability to understand instructions and safety guidelines.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items safely, typically up to 35 pounds.
• Capability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Demonstrated reliability with regular and punctual attendance.
• Willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

• Knowledge of proper sanitization techniques and health code regulations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities:

• Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment and manual methods as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, and counters, to comply with health and safety regulations.
• Sort and organize clean dishes and kitchen tools for easy access by kitchen and service staff.
• Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and place orders when necessary.
• Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues.
• Assist with the disposal of trash and recycling materials in accordance with company policies.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.

Skills:

The required skills such as basic reading and following instructions ensure that the Dishwasher can understand and implement safety and sanitation protocols effectively. Physical skills like lifting heavy weights and standing for long periods are essential for managing the physical demands of the role.
