Electrical and Controls Engineer

Are you an experienced Controls Engineer who enjoys solving complex industrial automation challenges and seeing projects come to life from concept through commissioning? Join our growing energy systems team in Shelbyville, Kentucky, where you’ll work on advanced control systems supporting gas turbine inlet air cooling systems for industrial and energy clients around the world.This role combines electrical engineering, PLC/HMI programming, system design, troubleshooting, and customer interaction in a highly collaborative environment.What You’ll DoDesign and analyze industrial control systems for gas turbine inlet air cooling applicationsDevelop and review electrical and controls drawing packagesCreate PLC, HMI, DCS, and SCADA software applicationsCoordinate with project engineers, designers, customers, and contractorsEnsure designs comply with customer specifications, applicable codes, and industry standardsAssist with commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and final system acceptance testingDevelop technical standards, testing procedures, and engineering best practicesSupport communication integration between owner DCS systems and Caldwell control systemsProvide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers and internal teamsWhat We’re Looking ForAssociate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering5+ years of experience in industrial controls or automation engineeringStrong PLC programming experience with:Allen BradleyExperience with:SCADA systemsHMI developmentProficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft OfficeUnderstanding of industrial networking and communication systemsFamiliarity with electrical and safety standards including:UL-508 / UL-508A / UL-698ANFPA 70NFPA 79Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively across engineering, operations, and customer teamsWhy Join Us?Competitive compensation package starting around $135K+Opportunity to work on highly specialized industrial energy projectsCollaborative engineering environment with strong technical leadershipDiverse work including design, programming, testing, and field commissioningLong-term career growth and advancement opportunitiesExposure to both domestic and international projects and travelIf you’re passionate about industrial automation, controls engineering, and innovative energy solutions, we’d love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr Caldwell Tanks, Inc
