Why Join Us | DuPont Careers**Position Overview**The Process Design Specialist is responsible for designing, optimizing, and implementing business and operational processes that improve efficiency, productivity, and overall organizational performance. This role develops and maintains process documentation, including process flow maps, design specifications, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.**Key Responsibilities****Productivity*** Analyze existing workflows and identify areas for improvement, recommending changes to minimize bottlenecks and streamline operations.* Facilitate cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment on process improvement initiatives in collaboration with Continuous Improvement leader and Process Safety and Innovation leader and gather input from various stakeholders.* Coordinate with MT and IT to ensure that technological tools and systems are aligned with process requirements, optimizing software and hardware to support workflow enhancements.* Ensure that new processes are created to improve workflow and reduce operational bottlenecks.* Document process changes and updates and create comprehensive manuals and guidelines for staff training and reference**Delivery*** Deliver process design flows within established timelines. Ensure successful completion of project milestones as defined in the project management plans.* Maintain clear communication with cross-functional teams, providing regular updates on project status, challenges, and outcomes.* Implement process improvements that lead to measurable improvements in key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, efficiency, scrap reduction, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).* Deliver innovative process solutions that incorporate best practices and emerging technologies.* Lead the transition management for process changes and ensure that all staff are adequately trained on new procedures and that changes are smoothly integrated into daily operations.**Core Values*** Model the appropriate behavior and effectively communicate and implement initiatives that enhance a safe, conscientious and respectful site culture.* Coach team members to ensure management processes are understood.* Report and investigate incidents and injuries and communicate findings.**Quality*** Implement quality control measures to ensure that all processes meet the required standards and comply with industry regulations.* Conduct regular reviews and audits of process documentation and implementations to identify areas for quality improvement.**Cost*** Ensure that process improvements are delivered within financial constraints.* Prepare cost-benefit analyses for proposed design changes to evaluate the financial impact and return on investment.**Morale*** Foster a collaborative and supportive environment by actively engaging with team members and encouraging their input in process design and improvement efforts.* Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance skills and confidence in operating new processes.**Decisions*** Adjustments to process design and technology – Productivity and Delivery* Best improvement strategies and techniques – Productivity, Delivery, and Cost* Implementation of improved processes – Productivity, Delivery, Core Values, and Quality**Deliverables*** Identifying inefficiencies and bottlenecks – Productivity* Streamlined processes that identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks to enhance productivity – Productivity and Cost* Increased productivity and quality through systematic improvements – Productivity, Delivery, and Quality* Documenting process changes and coordinating and guiding teams from diverse departments – Core Values and Morale* Maintaining a safe and respectful workplace – Core Values and Morale**Qualifications****Required*** High School Diploma* 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, engineering, continuous improvement, or process excellence.* Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving change within a manufacturing environment.* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Power BI.**Preferred*** Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.* Project Management certification (PMP) or equivalent experience.
