Staff Software Engineer

Over 50,000 people depend on our software to perform all their daily activities. We are looking for someone to lead all technical aspects of an engineering team at ServiceTitan. What you’ll do Own from end to end the short and long term technical vision of your squad. Be responsible for all major technical decisions for your squad (a successful lead will be able to influence the decisions of their team without having to make all of them). Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers within your team and others. Help your team to improve the technical quality of their work through regular technical design and code reviews. Share your technical knowledge and expertise through regular tech talks and/or blog posts. Communicate effectively with engineers, product managers, customers, partners, and other leaders. What you’ll bring We expect that as an individual contributor, you are a role model. You will be expected to guide the technology decisions of your team, while contributing alongside them. Equivalent of 8+ years of experience on senior engineering roles (designing APIs, abstractions, and tools used by other engineers). Equivalent of 15+ years of industry experience. Expert‑level knowledge of: Microsoft .NET technology stack (C# / .NET) and SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server or any other). HTML5 and JavaScript; experience with Typescript and React is a plus. Git, unit testing, debugging, profiling, performance monitoring. Strong communication and technical writing skills. B.S., M.S. or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or a related technical field. Be Human With Us Being human isn’t about checking every box on a list. For candidates in the United States, the good faith salary ranges estimate for this role is Zone 1: $198,200 USD – $297,400 USD (Applicable for: CA, CT, DC, MD, MA, NJ, NY, VA, and WA); Zone 2: $185,300 USD – $277,900 USD (Applicable for: All other US locations). International Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation within a range is determined by factors including relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and performance. In addition to base salary, our total compensation package includes an annual bonus, equity, and a holistic suite of benefits.
