About the Role

We are seeking a highly strategic and operationally excellent Director of Human Resources to serve as the key partner to our VP of HR. In this pivotal leadership role, you will command direct oversight over two or more core HR departments, acting as a vital catalyst for our international workforce strategy. As our organization scales across North America and LATAM, you will lead the architecture of our Compensation programs while ensuring operational excellence across our HR platform. The ideal candidate will be an expert in scaling HR systems, a master of complex compensation models and salary banding, and a proven leader capable of mentoring a multi-functional HR team within a fast-paced technology ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Departmental Leadership & Strategic Partnership

• Executive Alliance: Act as a trusted partner and second-in-command to the VP of HR, aligning human resource strategy directly with corporate business objectives and stepping in as organizational lead when required.
• Multi-Departmental Oversight: Directly manage, mentor, and scale two or more distinct functions within the HR organization, specifically driving alignment between Global Compensation and HR Operations (Payroll, Talent Acquisition or other).
• Team Development: Build a high-performing team culture across international boundaries, establishing clear KPIs, accountability structures, and career development paths for HR managers and specialists.

Global Total Rewards & Compensation Architecture

• Compensation Mastery: Lead the strategic design, implementation, and administration of global compensation programs, including base pay structures and variable incentive plans.
• Multinational Market Alignment: Conduct continuous market pricing and benchmarking across the US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil, adapting pay strategies to remain highly competitive in local technology talent sectors.
• Cross-Border Compliance: Navigate complex legal and statutory compensation requirements internationally, including managing Brazil's CLT mandates, 13th-month salaries, collective bargaining impacts, and inflationary adjustments.

Systems Optimization & HR Operations

• Paycom Ownership: Serve as the executive champion for the Paycom HRIS ecosystem, driving data integrity, workflow automation, and advanced analytics reporting to support business decisions.
• Global Operations Strategy: Oversee cross-border payroll architectures and operational lifecycles, ensuring seamless integration between HR systems, localized payroll compliance, and corporate finance teams.
• Talent Acquisition Integration: Collaborate with recruitment leaders to optimize technical sourcing strategies, workforce capacity planning, and international onboarding experiences tailored for remote and hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline required. Master's degree, MBA, or advanced compensation certifications (e.g., CCP, GRP) highly preferred.
• Experience: 7-10+ years of progressive HR experience within a technology environment, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple sub-departments simultaneously.
• System Expertise: Proven, advanced proficiency managing and configuring the Paycom HRIS platform for automated compensation structures and complex multi-state or international reporting.
• Compensation Acumen: Demonstrated track record of designing variable incentive programs, managing international total rewards portfolios, and establishing salary bands.
• Cross-Border Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of employment standards, labor compliance, and HR practices across the US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil (CLT).
• Leadership Profile: Exceptional emotional intelligence with a history of leading high-volume operations, settling complex employee relations issues, and fostering a collaborative corporate culture.

Work Environment

• On-Site Commitment: This position is based out of our corporate headquarters in Garland, Texas, operating on a structured hybrid schedule requiring 4 days per week on-site and 1 day remote.
• Travel: Occasional international travel may be required to support regional offices and teams in Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.
