Role Description The Mitigation Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in the Charleston, South Carolina Metropolitan Area. This role involves responding to water, fire, mold, and other property damage events, performing assessments, and documenting conditions with photos and notes. The technician sets up, monitors, and adjusts mitigation equipment, removes affected materials, and helps clean and stabilize damaged areas according to company standards and safety guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include driving to job sites, communicating professionally with customers and teammates, following work orders, and completing basic paperwork or digital job documentation. The Mitigation Technician works under the direction of a crew lead or project manager and supports a fast-paced environment that may include evening or weekend work as needed. Qualifications Hands-on restoration or construction skills, including basic use of tools, equipment setup, and material removal. Customer service and communication skills to interact respectfully and clearly with property owners, teammates, and supervisors. Organizational and documentation skills for recording job details, taking photos, and following established procedures. Physical ability to lift and carry equipment, work in varied conditions, and stand, bend, or climb for extended periods. Valid driver’s license with a reliable driving record and ability to travel to job sites within the Charleston area. Attention to safety, including following OSHA and company safety guidelines and using protective equipment appropriately. Willingness to participate in training and obtain industry certifications (e.g., IICRC Water Damage Restoration) as required.
