Emish Market is a Ukrainian grocery store located in Fife, WA, offering a wide selection of imported goods from Ukraine and other European countries. In addition to our market, we operate a full-service café, bakery, and meat department, preparing fresh Ukrainian dishes, pastries, and specialty meats daily. Our mission is to create a warm, authentic, and memorable experience for every guest.We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our night shift kitchen team. This role focuses on food preparation to support our café, bakery, and deli operations and is ideal for someone who works well independently and takes pride in consistent, high-quality prep work.What You'll DoPrepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion guidelines, and quality standardsAssist with overnight meal and food production for the café, bakery, and deliEnsure all food is prepared, labeled, stored, and handled in accordance with food safety and sanitation standardsMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient prep workspaceFollow established recipes, portion standards, and production schedulesCommunicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations during serviceSupport the kitchen manager and team with prep work, special events, and menu changesWork Schedule: 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM, Tuesday through SaturdayPay & Compensation: $20 per hourBenefits:1 hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked$2 extra per hour worked on Sundays1 week paid vacation after 1 year, 2 weeks after 2 yearsRequired QualificationsPrevious experience as a prep cook or in a commercial kitchen preferredAbility to work independently during overnight hoursStrong attention to detail and time management skillsUnderstanding of basic kitchen safety and sanitation standardsAbility to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasksReliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethicKnowledge of Ukrainian or Eastern European cuisine is a plus
