Service Credit Union is seeking a Risk Management Analyst who will be responsible for supporting the daily operations, documentation, monitoring, and administrative functions of the department while developing foundational knowledge of enterprise risk management practices. “Members are the priority at Service Credit Union, and every role at the credit union is responsible for supporting member solutions and contributing positively to member experience.” Compensation: Starting at $60,000. Negotiable with experience. Hours: Monday - Friday8:30a.m.-5:00-p.m. Location: Portsmouth,NH Service Credit Union Corporate Headquarters. Hybrid: Required three days in office. Training and career growth opportunities. Position Responsibilities Identify, gather, and document current business processes through stakeholder interviews, workflow analysis, and process mapping. Conduct day-to-day operational activities associated with the Enterprise Risk Management program, including risk assessments, RCSAs, data collection, and reporting support. Assist in identifying, documenting, and evaluating operational, compliance, strategic, and reputational risks across business units. Communicate risk findings and recommendations to business unit owners in a professional and collaborative manner. Support business unit owners in the development and tracking of corrective action plans and risk mitigation activities. Maintain accurate system records, documentation, and data entry within departmental systems and applications. Collect, organize, and maintain key risk indicator (KRI) data and supporting documentation. Assist with preparation and maintenance of risk reports, assessment documentation, and program tracking activities. Develop and maintain departmental procedures, workflows, and process documentation to support operational consistency and program maturity. Support ongoing monitoring and follow‑up activities related to risk assessments, action plans, and remediation efforts. Participate in process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to strengthen operational efficiency and risk management practices. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support risk awareness, governance, and control effectiveness. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment through knowledge sharing, accountability, and continuous learning. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. Perform other duties as required. Required Knowledge and Skills Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum 3 years experience in Risk Management. Financial industry experience preferred. Ability to identify, assess, and articulate operational, compliance, strategic, and control risks. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to think through and build sustainable processes and workflows. Inquisitive mindset with a natural tendency to ask “why.” Ability to analyze issues beyond surface-level symptoms and identify root causes. Comfortable challenging assumptions and identifying gaps in controls or processes. Ability to connect business activities to risk impacts and control requirements. Strong attention to detail while maintaining awareness of enterprise-level impacts. Ability to prioritize competing risks and assignments effectively. Ability to develop and document risk events, controls, mitigation strategies, and corrective actions. Experience building or enhancing risk assessment methodologies and governance processes. Ability to evaluate effectiveness of controls and recommend practical improvements. Ability to translate regulatory or policy expectations into operational processes. Understanding of risk management frameworks, governance, and control environments. Ability to support development of KRIs, reporting metrics, and monitoring activities. Ability to document procedures and workflows clearly and effectively. Effective communicator capable of translating complex risk and control concepts into business-friendly language. Ability to build strong working relationships across business units. Personable and collaborative approach when working with stakeholders. Comfortable facilitating discussions surrounding risk, accountability, and process improvement. Ability to provide constructive feedback professionally and respectfully. Ability to influence without direct authority. Strong written communication and presentation skills. Ability to train, coach, or guide business partners through risk-related processes. Self-starter with strong initiative and accountability. Positive attitude with a solutions-oriented mindset. Coachable and open to continuous feedback and development.
