Desktop Support Technician

Proximity Support TechnicianWe are seeking a customer-focused Proximity Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support for end users in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This role is responsible for delivering high-touch IT support, resolving hardware and software issues, supporting executive leadership, and ensuring a seamless technology experience across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong desktop support expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide onsite and remote technical support for employees, executives, and VIP users, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and connectivity issues.Deliver white-glove support to senior leadership and executive stakeholders, maintaining professionalism and discretion at all times.Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues related to Windows and macOS operating systems, desktop applications, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.Manage user accounts, permissions, and access requests through Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and mobile device management (MDM) platforms.Support and maintain conference room technology, including Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, video conferencing systems, audio/visual equipment, and collaboration tools.Perform computer imaging, deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.Coordinate hardware refreshes, software installations, upgrades, and equipment replacements.Document incidents, service requests, and technical solutions within the IT service management platform.Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.Identify opportunities for process improvement and proactively address recurring technical problems.Support office moves, new employee onboarding, and technology setup activities.Required Qualifications3+ years of experience in desktop support, service desk, or end-user support within a large enterprise environment.VIP/Executive support experience.Desktop support experience with Windows, macOS, MDM, Active Directory, and O365.Hands-on experience with computer imaging.Proven experience supporting conference room and collaboration technologies, including Zoom or other video conferencing software.Strong knowledge of desktop hardware, peripherals, printers, and mobile devices.Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management best practices.Ability to prioritize multiple requests and work effectively under pressure.Preferred QualificationsExperience working within large, complex enterprise IT environments.Knowledge of endpoint management and device compliance solutions.Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, ITIL, or equivalent.Experience supporting hybrid work environments and executive meeting support.Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
