Schedule: This position is a part of the Nursing Management Team and will regularly work Monday through Friday with rotating on-call and Manager on Duty. This position must be willing to work the floor as needed as well.

Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team! The ADON must be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse from an accredited college, be currently licensed in the appropriate state without encumbrance, be responsible for maintaining professional licensure and CEU requirements. It is preferred that the ADON candidate has 1- 2 years of supervisory experience in a geriatric setting. Current CPR certification is also required.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees the Service Plan initiation and updating of service plans.
• Assists in all phases of the delivery of nursing care for residents.
• Assists with evaluating current residents and potential admissions to ensure Maggie's Place can provide appropriate level of care.
• May assist with hiring and providing orientation/training and retention of a sufficient number of qualified staff to carry out nursing programs and all other duties as assigned.
• Complete residents assessments timely as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
• Participates in service plan meetings as necessary.
• Complete audits as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
• Participates in on-call rotation.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse from an accredited college, be currently licensed in the appropriate state without encumbrance, be responsible for maintaining professional licensure and CEU requirements. If the selected candidate is an LPN, continued employment is contingent upon enrollment and active progress in an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program. The employee agrees to begin the RN program within six (6) months of the employment start date and to complete the program within its standard duration. Proof of enrollment and documentation confirming the program's expected completion timeframe must be provided upon request.
• 1- 2 years of supervisory experience in a geriatric setting is preferred.
• Current CPR certification is also required.
