Key Responsibilities of the Cardiovascular Technologist

• Support high-acuity and complex cardiovascular procedures, including emergent and advanced interventional cases
• Scrub electrophysiology procedures, including ablations, device implants, generator changes, lead revisions, and leadless pacing systems
• Scrub cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic and interventional cases, and support mechanical circulatory support devices
• Support neurointerventional and peripheral vascular procedures, including diagnostic angiography and endovascular interventions
• Assist with radial and femoral vascular access, sheath management, and vascular closure devices
• Scrub structural heart procedures, including TAVR, MitraClip, PFO/ASD closure, and Watchman

Requirements of the Cardiovascular Technologist

• State of CT Radiographer license with ARRT (R) and/or RCIS certification
• Minimum of 3 years experience in Cardiac Cath Lab / EP Lab
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficient in advanced cardiovascular imaging and technologies
