Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) in Acute Care specializes in Renal/Vascular Surgery, providing high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within a collaborative interdisciplinary team. They practice in accordance with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, ensuring adherence to professional standards and institutional policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Care: Performs the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practices to deliver individualized care.
• Patient Partnership: Engages patients and families through effective communication, including bedside reports and education, focusing on patient goals and cultural considerations.
• Teamwork & Collaboration: Coordinates safe care delivery, documents accurately, and promotes a respectful, inclusive environment. Supports performance improvement initiatives and participates in shared governance.
• Professional Development: Completes mandatory training, serves as a mentor or preceptor, and models professional nursing practices to foster a qualified workforce.
• Research & Evidence-Based Practice: Supports clinical research, quality improvement, and policy adherence to enhance patient outcomes.
• Resource Management: Contributes to protocol development and optimizes resource use to improve care quality and efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Current RN license (single-state or multi-state Compact) and BLS certification.
• Less than one year of clinical experience; direct patient care preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and ethical practice skills.
