Description:
Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required.
Evaluates patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical and developmental disorders.
Requires detailed knowledge of physical therapy, including interpretation of data.
Basic computer skills are required.
Basic understanding of rules and regulations of the specific setting is necessary.
Evaluates and treats patients for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders.
Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the lifespan of patients served.
Oversees and ensures a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet the physical, psychosocial, and immediate environmental well-being of the patient.
Promotes patient/caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence.
Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in patient care.
Coordinates efforts toward discharge goals established during the evaluation and throughout the episode of care.
Acts as a patient advocate.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Settings may include inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, community-based care, and home health care.


For Pediatric Physical Therapist:
Evaluates and treats infants, children, and adolescents for various health conditions.
Addresses motor development, strength, range of motion, endurance, balance, coordination, and gait.
Conducts interviews with children and family members and utilizes physical examinations to diagnose movement disorders.
Ability to evaluate and treat patients aged 18 years and older.
Floats to adult units if needed during fluctuations in pediatric patient census.
Evaluates and treats pediatric patients from birth to 18 years old regarding the application of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders.
Settings include inpatient and inpatient emergency departments.
