Housekeeping Team PositionNorthgate Resorts owns and manages the most awarded Camp-Resort portfolio in the nation. The Housekeeping Team is comprised of three main positions: Cabin Attendant, Inspectors, and Laundry Attendants. This team is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and verifying the cleanliness of the park cabins, lodges, and other company-owned, private guest quarters and all accompanying linens. This is a seasonal, full-time or part-time position and reports to the Executive Housekeeper.Cabin Attendant Duties & ResponsibilitiesCabin Attendants are responsible for cleaning and maintaining the park cabins, lodges, and other company-owned, private guest quarters.Safely maintain assigned housekeeping equipment and suppliesEnsure cabins are properly stocked and equippedRemove trash and used linens from the guestrooms to prepare for the housekeeper to cleanSet climate control on approved temperature settingsReport maintenance issues discovered while cleaningRecord location and turn in lost and found itemsParticipate in other projects and activities as assignedHousekeeping Inspector Duties & ResponsibilitiesHousekeeping Inspectors are responsible for regular inspections of cabins and lodges, and the verification of the cleanliness is at or above brand standards.General Duties Inspect cabins, lodges, and any other company-owned, private guest quartersEnsure cabins are properly stocked and equippedReport maintenance issues or damages discovered while cleaning/inspecting; ensuring follow-through on the reported issuesMonitor temperature controls and appliances to ensure all are off or set to proper levelsWork with housekeepers to clean all guestroomsRecord location and turn in lost and found itemsSafely maintain assigned housekeeping equipment and suppliesParticipate in other projects and activities as assignedAdministrative Duties Mentors housekeeping staff daily to ensure cleanliness standards and operational efficiencies are met or exceeded; Reviews results of inspections with Cabin Attendants and Housekeepers; coaches and drives accountability and performance improvementUses reservation system to properly communicate room status; verifies stayovers, reports early check-outs, and communicates issues and discrepancies with the Guest Relations team.Laundry Attendant Duties & ResponsibilitiesLaundry Attendants are responsible for all laundry and linens of the park; cleaning and verifying that cleanliness is at or above brand standards.Collect & sort linen into appropriate groups for washingSeparate stained linen from other dirty linen and treat according to policy and proceduresTransporting substantially large loads (wet and dry) in terry carts to the laundering areaLoad and unload washers, dryers, and fold linens to company standardsMonitor supplies to ensure the department is well-stocked and organized; reporting any shortages to the Manager for re-orderingClean appliances and equipment, observe and report maintenance issues discovered while cleaningTrack discarded linens and report to Executive Housekeeper for the replenishing of stockRecord location and turn in lost and found itemsParticipate in other projects and activities as assigned May assist teammates in collecting and delivering soiled linens to the laundry roomMay assist teammates with cleaning dutiesEducation/Training/ExperienceHousekeeping experience preferred but not requiredQualifications/RequirementsBasic computer skillsExcellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail, speed, and accuracyAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentStrong work ethic and a positive attitudeRequired to work nights, weekends, and holidaysWork with minimal supervisionMaintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and managementEssential Physical DemandsAble to lift up to 50 lbsMust be able to remain in a stationary positionContinuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawlAble to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, etc.Constant exposure to outside weather conditionsNorthgate provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
