Silvus Technologies is a wholly owned subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, Inc.## Job Description *Would you like to join an incredibly talented group of people, doing very challenging work, with the prime directive of “*Keeping Our Heroes Connected*”?*THE OPPORTUNITY Silvus is seeking a ***Shipping Associate- I*** to manage outbound shipments, including inspection, packing, and paperwork. This role also involves handling inventory, coordinating transportation, and ensuring timely deliveries. This position will report into Supply Chain Leadership. **This is a fully on-site position, Monday through Friday. The location for this role will be at our Salt Lake City facility.**The following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Responsible for all aspects of outbound shipments, including inspection, packing, and accurate preparation of shipping documentation for both domestic and international orders.* Manage packaging material inventories, ensuring adequate supply for shipping needs.* Manage the packaging and shipping process of customer orders, as well as the handling of logistics for trade shows.* Coordinate transportation and carrier services to ensure timely delivery schedules.* Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS* High School diploma or GED required.* Minimum 1-3 years of experience using systems and software like FedEx, UPS, and DHL.* Experience with shipping, preferably in a manufacturing environment.* Experience shipping commercial goods to international destinations.* Highly proficient in Google Suite and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.* Prior experience in a fast-paced office environment, meeting multiple deadlines.* Must have a current, valid driver’s license and no traffic violations.* **NOTE - Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.*** **Employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.**PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES* Attention to detail, accuracy, flexibility, reliability, and teamwork.* A willingness to learn and adapt to evolving tasks and responsibilities as the company grows.* Knowledge of and commitment to safety protocols and practices within a shipping environment. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS* Office environment.* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:* Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.* Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when receiving incoming part shipments.
