Assistant Produce Sales Manager

The Assistant Produce Sales Manager will support the Produce Sales Manager in driving sales growth, profitability, product assortment, and merchandising strategy across the produce division. This person will be heavily focused on produce buying, sourcing, quality, and vendor/grower relationships while partnering closely with merchandising teams, buyers, distribution centers, and store operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing produce sales and promotions, supporting pricing strategy, planning seasonal assortments and displays, managing vendor relationships, monitoring produce quality, and ensuring stores are properly executing merchandising plans. The role will spend the majority of time collaborating in the Arlington corporate office, while also traveling throughout Texas to visit stores, distribution centers, vendors, and suppliers to inspect produce quality and support operational execution. The ideal candidate will bring strong produce industry knowledge, experience working with growers or suppliers, an understanding of retail grocery merchandising, and the ability to balance produce quality, sales performance, and profitability in a fast-paced environment.
