This full-time role with on-call responsibilities offers an opportunity to work closely with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and surgical staff to deliver exceptional patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

As a Surgical Technologist, you will utilize sterile techniques and specialized equipment to assist surgeons in performing operations efficiently and safely. Your role is critical in preparing the operating room, ensuring all instruments and devices are ready and functioning, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team.

Prepare surgical cases accurately using surgeon preference cards and appropriate instruments.

Apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology to support surgical procedures.

Maintain aseptic technique and demonstrate dexterity in handling surgical tools.

Operate sterilization equipment following established protocols.

Monitor and manage implantable devices with sterile technique.

Inspect and verify the functionality of surgical equipment prior to use.

Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient workspace.

Work independently while accepting accountability and adapting to changes under pressure.

Perform delegated tasks to uphold quality and patient safety under surgeon supervision.

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program is required.

Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Nurse is preferred but not mandatory.

Current Surgical Technologist Certification.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

This role demands considerable mental focus and physical stamina, including lifting up to 35 pounds, frequent walking, standing, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching.

Expect regular exposure to infectious and communicable diseases, as well as occasional encounters with challenging individuals. Minimal physical discomfort is typical.
