As the organization continues to grow through strategic acquisitions, they are seeking an experienced Senior Insurance Accounting Specialist to play a key role in integrating and supporting one of their recently acquired businesses.

To succeed as the Senior Insurance Accounting Specialist, you should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• 35 years of progressive accounting experience, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and month-end close
• Insurance industry accounting experience strongly preferred, particularly with an agency, MGA, wholesale broker, or insurance carrier
• Experience with premium accounting, carrier settlements, commissions, premium trust accounting, and premium tax reporting preferred
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysis
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems; familiarity with AMS360 or a similar agency management system preferred
• Strong attention to detail, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage high volumes, shifting priorities, deadlines, and confidential information

Your responsibilities as the Senior Insurance Accounting Specialist will include:

• Banking: post checks, schedule ACHs and reconcile bank statements
• Commissions: run statements, process payments via check and ACH, and remit commission statements to stakeholders
• Invoicing: invoice premiums, policy and broker fees, balance reports, allocate funds already received, and run daily processes
• Taxes: file and pay premium taxes
• Carrier Settlements: Pay premiums to insurance companies
• Receivables: Follow up on monies owed to TWFG/APIA
• Other duties as assigned
