Head of Human Resources

Our client, located in Nashville TN, is seeking a direct hire Head of Human Resources to join their team.
This is a strategic and hands-on position, vital for their organization, offering fantastic benefits!
Duties:
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations for small to mid-sized employee population, ensuring efficient and compliant processes across the full employee lifecycle
- Lead talent acquisition efforts, including recruiting, offer management, onboarding, and offboarding coordination
- Administer payroll operations in partnership with a PEO/HRIS platform (Rippling), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Manage benefits administration, HRIS data integrity, and employee records maintenance
- Partner with leadership to support performance management, career progression, employee development, and employee relations initiatives
- Collaborate with senior leadership on culture-building initiatives and professional development programming
- Provide HR support across affiliated entities, including HRIS onboarding and process standardization
- Work cross-functionally with finance, legal, talent, and operations teams to support business objectives
- Support employee engagement efforts, company events, and internal communications
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, HR policies, and payroll regulations
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a fast-paced, professional environment
- A bachelor’s degree is required
- Experience managing payroll administration and HR operations independently
- Strong HR systems and technology proficiency, preferably with Rippling or similar HRIS/payroll platforms
- Comfortable balancing strategic partnership with hands-on execution

Length of Position: Direct Hire
Pay: depends on experience, up to $150k base Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
