Sustainable Furniture, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing a safe, functional environment for all occupants.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on various systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

• Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Utilize logic controllers and schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions.
• Use tools such as an Ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics and repairs.
• Supervise maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Assist with residential painting and other facility improvement projects as needed.
• Collaborate with other team members to enhance overall facility operations.

Skills

• Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage maintenance projects and supervise team members.

• Proficiency in English for clear communication with team members and stakeholders.
• Extensive experience in facilities maintenance, including knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with logic controllers for troubleshooting automated systems.
• Competence in using an Ohmmeter for electrical testing and diagnostics.
• Solid mechanical knowledge to perform repairs on various equipment types.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics for effective troubleshooting.
• Experience supervising teams or projects within a maintenance environment.
• Capability to maintain a clean work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
