That person knows how to turn a good team into a great one - through real coaching, real accountability, and real time in the field. You'll lead a team of Journeyman Plumbers, Drain Technicians, Apprentices, and Installers, working alongside them on calls, developing their skills, and setting the tone for how the department performs.

This role isn't for someone who wants structure without accountability. It's for someone ready to lead, build, and own the results.

What You'll Do

• Lead a residential plumbing service team focused on results, quality, and customer experience
• Own service outcomes - revenue, margin, conversion, and customer satisfaction
• Hire, onboard, develop, and retain high-quality technicians
• Lead from the field through ride-alongs, coaching, and real-time feedback
• Develop technicians into confident, consistent professionals with strong technical skills and a customer-first approach
• Reinforce expectations around service quality, sales performance, and communication
• Identify performance gaps and address them directly through coaching and accountability
• Partner with Recruiting to attract and select top-tier plumbing talent
• Run regular team meetings focused on results, standards, and growth
• Work with Dispatch to ensure the right technician gets the right job
• Track KPIs and reporting to identify opportunities for improvement
• Maintain and refine the pricebook to reflect accurate, current pricing
• Ensure technicians follow company processes, safety standards, and service expectations
• Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership to drive business goals and profitability
• Stay current on industry trends and materials to keep the team's knowledge and practices up to date
• Manage vendor and pricing relationships to ensure competitive materials costs
• Drive process improvement across the department to increase efficiency and service quality

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of plumbing service technician experience
• 3+ years in a leadership or management role within residential plumbing or home services preferred
• Strong technical plumbing knowledge and field credibility
• Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and retain technicians
• Experience managing performance and holding people accountable, with a proven track record of driving results
• Strong understanding of service KPIs, including revenue, gross margin, conversion, and customer satisfaction
• Experience with ServiceTitan or a similar service management platform strongly preferred
• Current Oregon Journeyman Plumbing license or equivalent preferred
• Comfortable being in the field regularly and leading alongside the team-not managing exclusively from a desk
