Job Title: Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) Overview BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., is seeking a qualified Medical Support Specialist to support daily operations at our Plasma Donation Center. The role reports to the Plasma Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) and works under the guidance of a Center Physician for medical issues. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE) results. Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results, notifying donors of unsuitable test results. Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including developing the Center Physician’s standing orders and coordinating donor transport to emergency care facilities. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues, donor safety, and eligibility concerns. Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents, determining the need for further evaluation by occupational health/ER, and follow EHS guidance for employee incidents. Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations of pandemic threats within the local community. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; or a graduate‑level nursing program with state licensure requirements. Currently licensed or certified in the state of assignment: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy. Completion of FDA‑approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting. Compensation & Benefits Location: USA – CO – Longmont Hourly wage range: $38.72 – $53.24 (subject to qualifications, experience, and local wage laws).
