Insurance Verification SpecialistFull-Time-40 hours per weekGreenville, SCSupervised by: Billing CoordinatorPosition Overview: Coordinates with the Insurance Verification Team to verify patients' insurance for the Tribe 513 Billing Department. Responsible for day-to-day tasks including: printing daily reports, verifying insurance coverage, navigating insurance websites, entering all insurance into ECW, working closely with all Tribe entities to correct insurance information is obtained, and following up with families regarding new insurance or verification issues.Responsibilities:Responsible for day-to-day tasks for Insurance Verification Team. Tasks to include printing daily reports, verifying insurance coverage, navigating insurance websites, verifying benefits by phone with insurance representatives, data entry of all insurance into ECW and updating the patient's billing alert, and following up with families regarding new insurance or verification issues. - 80%Collaboration: Works closely with other team members to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner and team goals are being met. - 10%Takes ownership of ensuring the Tribe Way is experienced by all Tribe patients, families, and Insurance Representatives. - 10%Required Education & Certifications:At least 1 year working in physician billing; physician office experience preferred as well. Excellent customer service skills; ability to work effectively with patients, team members and the public.Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance practices.Skilled in gathering, interpreting and reporting insurance information and trouble-shooting issues. Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.Strong in multi-taskingAttention to Detail is very important.Strong ethics and a high level of personal and professional integrity needed.Work environment and Physical Demands:Requires sitting, standing, and walking associated with a normal physician office environment.Tribe513 is an equal opportunity employer.
