Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Location

Rancho Mirage, CA | Inpatient

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care across Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) settings
• Manage couplet care and postpartum patients with established nurse-to-patient ratios (1:2 Labor and Delivery; 1:4 Postpartum)
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Belmont Rapid Infuser, Phillips Fetal Monitor, CADD epidural pump, Baxter IV pumps, and AVE2 birthing bed
• Document patient care using EPIC Stork electronic charting system and administer medications via Omnicell
• Care for a patient population including childbearing women, well newborns, neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults
• Float within the hospital within scope of skill set as needed; participate in on-call rotation (once per schedule period for 3x12 contracts)

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required; Couplet Care and Postpartum experience is required
• Must not be a first-time traveler
• ACLS certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate and AWHONN Advanced certifications required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• IV Start and Circulate skills required
• Flu vaccination required; exemptions considered on a case-by-case basis
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local travelers are not eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 4 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC Stork electronic charting preferred
• Familiarity with OBED (Obstetric Emergency Department) workflows
• Experience with ATOM cribs and warmers
